Hey, hope you all enjoyed your weekend. So let’s get started with this week’s #TechTuesday where we talk about an app call “Discord”.Let me tell you how cool and safe this app is.

Discord is a place us kids can go to and chat with our friends. The app let you create your own channels, a few sample are gaming channels, reading channel music channel just to name a few. It’s basically a community for young kids. There’s also private channel where you join with your close friends and have fun. When you in a call the leader of the server(Call) can server mute you and “Defen” that means that you can’t talk or hear the other people on the call.

There’s also a cool feature on the app, that you can share your screen with your friends. You can even have a party in a channel, you can suggest to play music. It’s basically “Alexa” ask for a song to play and it’ll play. To those parents who are concern about their kids being cyberbully on the app, the leader of the call can stop there text from going through. you can also kick them out the channel and if the leader of the call is the one doing the bullying then your child should exit the channel. That’s the best thing your child can do. Hope this gives you a bit of a comfort, we all know kids can be mean but in my experience been all fun with my friends.
