swaggerdad Growing up, one of my passions was collecting “Sneakers”. I wanted all the fresh pair of sneakers back in the days from Air Max, Air Force one, Puma, shell tops Adidas just to name a few. Growing up in NYC there’s no room for all that. Who can relate?
Fast forward to today, with all the technology out now you could have 10,000 pair of sneakers in the palm of your hands. That’s right check out the new App AGLET connecting sneaker heads, creators and brands through virtual collectables. Think Pokemen Go but for Sneakersheads!

Let’s face it,It’s kind of hard getting the latest Jordan’s or Yeezy’z before everybody but what if you could? What if you could enter a game where your activity and knowledge can be converted into a virtual currency and you could shop for all the virtual sneakers and clothes your heart desires? Wait, wha? Virtual sneakers and virtual clothes?
This is how it works, Through encouraging physical movement (steps), as well as challenges that engage the sneakerhead community to improve your knowledge and explore your city, and convert your swag into our in-game currency to purchase virtual sneakers.
‘When you “wear” virtual sneakers, and move around in the world, we’ll convert your steps into Aglet, our in-game currency. Each virtual sneaker has a different earn rate, as well as durability. Sneakers wear out and deteriorate; the more they are walked in, the more they deteriorate, and the less Aglet they earn. Part of the strategy is selecting the sneakers with higher durability and earn rates to maximize your Aglet earnings. More steps, more Aglet. More Aglet, more opportunities to cop a holy grail or any other pair from the in-game sneaker store.’

Hey, this could be a cool way of working out together as a family and at the same time help your child build their Sneaker Collection! There are two ways you can explore the in-game map. The best way is to get out of the house and be physical, walk around your city, and see what you can find. Let’s say you’re in Los Angeles, for example, you could find some sneakerboxes at the dopest retail spots or culturally significant locations. But if you can’t do that, let’s say coronavirus has you isolated, and your social distancing game is on point, you can discover items and locations in the map from anywhere in the world. We call this feature Ghost Mode. Zoom into areas you want to explore on the map and hunt for sneakerboxes.

Once you download the app you will get notification of new releases every week, so you will be on point on all the latest sneakers. AGLET’s goal is to keep you active in the flyest sneakers out. The Aglet Sneaker Shop (ASS) works like any other place you’d buy stuff. Is there anything you want to pick up? There’s nothing stopping you, just need to earn enough Aglet to cop them. It’s as if you walked into Flight Club wanting to buy something. How dope is that???
