We here @Swaggerdad are all about fatherhood, anything that has to do with father’s we are ALL IN! FYI anything, Positive. That being said, we are thrilled to partner with the Mayor of Washington D.C. Mayor Bowser on her new campaign “#FlipTheScript.
On Sept 27 2019 Mayor Bowser announced the start of “Flip The Script,” a positive visual campaign aimed to dispel common myths about men of color and combat negative imagery that frequent the media. The #FlipTheScript campaign was developed by the Mayor’s Office on Fatherhood to help prove that black and Hispanic father’s can be in their child’s life.

Personally, I didn’t have a father growing up, that’s why it’s my mission to help this generation of father’s to “Break the Cycle” and with campaigns like this one it proves that we need to #FlipTheScript on “Fatherhood”!

if you’re in the D.C area make sure to check out the billboards and buses to see the campaign shots. Big shout out to Mayor Bowser and @Dc_MOFMB for making it known that father’s are here and present!
WE ARE NOT OUR FATHERS. This movement it’s moving quick that even Presidential Candidates Julian Castro and Cory Booker are both all in!! Let’s Goooo, Let’s make this a national Campaign!
My dad taught me to tie my shoes & shave, but more importantly, he taught me to love unconditionally & live a life of service. Too often that’s not how fathers of color are depicted. Grateful @murielbowser & #FlipTheScript are changing how we portray Black & Brown fatherhood. pic.twitter.com/GZAE7lHF7W

You can join the movement by posting your proud dad photos with the hashtag #FlipTheScript and tagging @DC_MOFMB and @MayorBowser.
